Wooden Ceiling Restoration in Dundas Valley School of Art
Located in a former Victorian circa 1836 factory the Dundas Valley School of Art, http://www.dvsa.ca the school is famous for its cultural importance to the area. One of the main features of its past is the exposed roof system of the top floor with all its corbels, brackets and beams. Cleaned by Absolute Blast so as to not destroy the patina of the wood but to bring it back to its original look, care had to be taken not only in the execution of the work but there were all new windows in place and other work ongoing through out the building.
Architects Garwood –Jones & Hanham http://www.gjharch.o … ty/dvsa/com_dvsa.asp were very pleased with the outcome http://hamilton.open … itectural-challenges.
