Blasting and Painting Acid Tank

Restoring this acid tank for Benson Chemicals, http://www.bensonchemicals.ca/ at the Maple Mfg plant in Smithville Ont. was mostly a race against the weather. Hot dry days are needed when applying epoxy paint never mind blasting to a good finish for the application to adhere. Sherman Williams two part epoxy was the preferred finish which made the time sensitive job so much easier and quicker for the crew. The location was not suited to a spray finish and the unit and its bases had to be hand done and in quick order as the sudden spring heat wave meant the epoxy hardened up fast. Completed on time and on budget the tank is now back in the factory and being installed in the new assembly line.
